Kunovice Factory - Czech Aircraft Works (CZAW) moves ahead to the next level of aircraft production. The factory has now fully moved into their new facility at Kunovice airport. Posted are photos of production lines being set up and some factory floor photos. We also have the original 1952 building photos when the facility was first constructed.  

What does this mean for us in the USA? CZAW will be the largest producer of LSA aircraft in Europe and worldwide. We can expect to see large quantities of SportCruisers, Mermaids and Parrots coming in to the US market.

This SportCruiser enters the engine shop for a Rotax 912 ULS fitting. CZAW will begin offering the Jabiru 3300 120 HP engine in the near future.

We take advantage of the latest technologies such as composite and fiberglass materials. Our canopy is a composite structure which allows us shape and form to create and control the aerodynamic flow over the canopy. Each canopy is hand crafted, shaped, and fitted to the airframe of every airplane built. Quality workmanship is consistent throughout our manufacturing line.

Composite materials will be painted in this high-tech paint-booth.. Generally parts are initially primed and then applied a one or more final coats. CZAW produces all the special moldings, fairings, cowl, wheel pants, and special airframe moldings,etc. in-house. This allows great flexibility in research and design of current and future products!
